Ok….lately I’ve been busy surfing. 
No, not like THAT…. more like the web kind of surfing. I came across a soup that demanded my attention. Any soup called, “Susan’s Dirty Little Secret Soup” must be re-created. So I swam over to FatFreeVegan Kitchen and here is what I got:
5-6 cups vegetable broth (I cheated because I had chicken…and it was yummy)
1 16 oz can diced tomatoes
2 16 oz cans beans, rinsed and drained (I used black beans and canneloni beans)
2 1lb. bags of frozen vegetables (I used Italian Blend and Asian Blend)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. thyme
salt/pepper
Pour in vegetable (or chicken) broth into large soup pot and add all remaining ingredients. Cook until vegetables are done (about 20-30 minutes). If soup seems too thick, add more broth.
OPTIONAL: 1/2 cup small pasta, or rice or any quick cooking grain

That recipe looks YUMM-O and I’m with you on the chicken broth. Some veggie broths taste weird. And I would definitely add some pasta, and eat it with crusty bread or corn bread muffins!
